Zubin Gandevia
Chief Operating Officer
National Geographic Channel - Asia

Zubin Gandevia is Chief Operating Officer for the FOX International Channels and National Geographic Channel businesses across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.  In his role as business head, Zubin is tasked with developing the industry leading brands of FOX, STAR and National Geographic, which dominate television entertainment in the Hollywood movies, international TV series and documentary categories.

Zubin has reporting to him General Managers who operate the businesses in China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and India.  In addition, he oversees the Hong Kong business operations, including channel development of the 17 channel brands, programming, on-air promotions, marketing, broadcast operations, distribution and advertising sales and revenue. 

Zubin focuses on driving the organization's strategy for aggressive business expansion through new channel launches.  As part of the strategy, Zubin will drive the business decentralization for the FIC business, enforcing the on-ground teams to develop more relevant products that are best suited to service affiliates and advertisers. 

Zubin embarked on his career at the age of 18, and has more than 20 years experience in the Asian broadcast industry.  Most recently, he was Managing Director and Executive Vice President of National Geographic Channel Asia.  He joined the network as Managing Director for India in January 2000, growing National Geographic Channel into a leader in the factual entertainment in South Asia.  He also spearheaded the successful launch of the History Channel in India in 2003.

A successful entrepreneur, Zubin established India's pioneering Cable TV Network in 1986, and was a founding partner of United Cable Network (UCN) in 1993.  He moved to the television industry in 1996 as Director of Cable Affairs for STAR India.  He lives in Hong Kong with his wife and two children.
