David Haslingden

National Geographic Channels Worldwide
David Haslingden joined National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) as Chief Executive Officer in December 1999, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Fox International Channels (FIC) in October 2001, and appointed Chief Executive Officer of National Geographic Channel U.S. in 2007.
Mr. Haslingden is responsible for NGCI's channels in Europe, Asia, India, Australia, the Middle East, Canada, Latin America and Africa, where NGCI reaches over 255 million homes (including day-part households) in 164 countries and in 34 languages. He is also responsible for FOX Channels in all international territories. As CEO of NGCI and FIC, he aims to further integrate both network operations and leverage their global resources to maximize performance.
Prior to joining NGCI, Mr. Haslingden served as Executive Vice President of STAR TV, News Corporation's multichannel satellite television network across Asia, the Indian sub-continent and the Middle East. He joined STAR TV in 1994 from News Limited in Australia, where he held the post of Senior Vice President of Business Development, responsible for the company's television and cable investments, including FOXTEL and Network Seven. Mr. Haslingden holds a Master's of Law degree from Cambridge University in England, a Bachelors degree in Law, and a Bachelors degree in Arts from Sydney University.
